Jug Wars Middle School 7-8th
We had our 2nd annual jug wars this year with the 5th and 6th graders at Churchville– Chili Middle School. They were as enthusiastic as they were last year! All of the 5th and 6th grade teams pulled together to raise $1,317.68 to be donated to a local charity. We were even more excited this year because the middle school principal wanted us to make it an annual fundraiser for the students. The winning class receives a pizza party and a robot demonstration with opportunities to drive the robot.
Pittsford Team Gave Building Parts, Used Shop Equipment
During the 2011 build season we provided Team 3181 with a place to build and test their robot during their build season when their shop was unavailable. We had a great time staying up until 3 AM to work on our robots together and created a bond that led us to giving them the “Best FIRST Friends Forever” peer award and they awarded us with the “Helping Hand” peer award.

Starting Friday, March 4th at 9:00am and Saturday, March 5th starting at 9:00am on Rochester area Time Warner Cable Channel 4.
Both days will also be streamed Live through the Rochester City School District’s website at www.rcsdk12.org/rcsdtv
RIT’s campus is five miles from both the Greater Rochester International Airport and the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90), exit 46.
From the Airport: Turn right onto Brooks Avenue, then a quick right onto I-390 South. From 390, take the next exit (Scottsville Road) and turn right at the end of the ramp. Drive for approximately three miles, and then turn left onto Jefferson Road (Route 252). Proceed east a short distance to campus. Turn right onto campus, just before the Radisson Hotel, via Lowenthal Road (the third entrance onto campus from this direction). Follow on campus directions to the Gordon Field House
From the NYS Thruway: Take Exit 46. Immediately after exiting, get on I-390 North and refer to directions below.
From I-390 (Northbound): Take Exit 13 (Hylan Drive). Turn left onto Hylan Dr. and continue North to Jefferson Road (Route 252), and turn left at the light. Proceed west a short distance to the main campus. Turn left onto campus, just past the Radisson Hotel, via Lowenthal Road (the first entrance onto campus from this direction). Follow on campus directions to the Gordon Field House.
