Wheatland-Chili Demo 2010
On June 3rd, 2010, Greater Rochester Robotics members demoed FIRST to the 5th grade class at TJ Connor elementary school. They brought FRC robots, and Lego robots. The kids were all very excited about it, and when asked what their favorite subject was, the most popular answer, without a doubt, was “SCIENCE!” After demoing FIRST to the kids, robotics members talked with the Principal of the elementary school about starting a team, and gave her the e-mail address of GRR’s advisor, Mr. Rees. The demo was a great success, and hopefully in a year or two Wheatland-Chili will have an FLL team.
