Congratulations and good luck on being a future mom, Kate! All of us on Team 340 really appreciate all of the time and effort you have given us to help us become a better team. Especially when it comes to CADing! We all wish you the best of luck with your pregnancy and becoming a mom. Although we will miss you greatly, we can only imagine how great of a mom you will be!
GRRLS Just Wanna Have Fun…and Learn! April 2010
Team 340 has a special way for building teamwork and bonding among the female members of the team.
Back in 2005 the girls on the teams took the team name GRR and added an Ls to make the GRRLs from team GRR. Each year the GRRLs get together and decorate t-shirts for themselves and the female mentors to wear the Thursday of competition. They also have purchased multiple pairs of the same cloth shoes and decorated them in team colors, wear team color socks and make bracelets. They decorate their hair in team colors. This year there are almost as many GRRLs on the team as guys. They are planning to go into the areas of math, science, technology and careers that build on what they learned on the team. They are full of spirit and they are having fun while they are learning- they truly are GRReat!
