Make A Difference Day
For the first time ever FIRST Teams 340 and 1511 teamed up to create “FIRST Mega Drive.” This event teamed up with the Red Cross with donating blood, the Reach Out and Read with donating books, Maven Technologies with donating electronics and Foodlink to give food to the hungry. This event was held in the Greece Ridge Mall and was very successful and made everyone feel good about themselves. It was GRReat to know that we made a difference in our community.
Rukus
This year at Rukus Charlie didn’t seem to want to come out of his retirement, none the less we managed. It also gave people on the team a chance to drive. At one point during the day there was an all girls drive team, they matched the male drivers in the amount of points they managed, Go GRRLS! This also gave the rookies a chance to experience what a competition was like, the rookies seemed impressed and got some friends involved.
