Greater Rochester Robotics has participated in a multitude of community service and demonstrations, and the number just keeps growing every year as we get more and more man power to do what we do. This year, we have done over 45 demos and community service events. And around here, we don’t strive to do as many demos as humanly possible, we strive to give a demo that makes them ask us back next year, because they can’t get enough of FIRST.

But not only do the students get involved, we also have numerous mentors that volunteer every year at the numerous events FIRST holds including the Finger Lakes Regional, the Championship event in Atlanta, and the Finger Lakes FIRST Lego League Regional at the U of R.

This year, our team is designated as a Service Organization and the team will receive the President's Volunteer Service Award from the Office of the President of the United States. Six indivduals will receive a certificate and pin for more than 100 hours of volunteer service this year alone.
