FIRST Tech Challenge

FTC is for students in grades 9-12 who prefer a more head-to-head competition much like that in sports. They have alliances of teams of up to 10 students who design, build, and program their robots to compete against other alliances. Year-to-year the kit is reusable and can be programmed using many different coding languages. The students, coaches, mentors, and volunteers work together to create a strategy and build a robot that utilizes sound engineering principles. At competitions, awards are given for competition performance, community outreach, design, and other real-world accomplishments.
