FIRST LEGO™ League

FLL was created to bring younger students in grades 4 through 8 into the real-world of engineering challenges with the usage of LEGO™-based robots. Using their imaginations and adult coaches as their guide, they complete tasks to overcome challenges, discover exciting career possibilities, and learn how they can make contributions to their society in a positive way.

Team 340 sponsored three FLL teams for the 2009 competition including Mechanical Mayhem, High Voltage, and The Hippi Pandas, a team whose members were all Girl Scouts. Members of Team 340 mentored these three teams as well as others around our community. We also held a Qualifier at our High School, with the help of Bausch & Lomb, and held different clinics for other local teams as well as the community to share our knowledge of the FLL program.
