FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC)

FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC) is a combination of sport and the rigors of science and technology for teams of 25 or more in grades 9 through 12 (ages 14 to 18). With limited resources, a strict set of rules, and time limits, they are challenged to raise funds, design a team “brand," obtain teamwork skills, and build and program robots to compete against a field of competitors to perform a certain task or tasks. For a student, it is as close to real-world engineering as they can get until they leave high school. Each team is assisted by volunteer, professional mentors who give their time and talents to aid each team to their success.

Team 340 is an FRC team.
