Our team uses subsystem prefixes-
So all files associated with the drive base would be named DR-. For example DR_side_rail
For the next version we put REV_2 after the prefix and so on. Example- DR_side_REV_3
Moving files around, and renaming them can cause issues so come up with a common system before projects are started.
Another tip is to save all the files in a shared folder. At our school all the students have access to a robotics shared drive on their accounts. This makes it so you do not have to reply on a thumb drive.
