5k Run for Peruvian Project
Submitted by Jen Wilson on May 30, 2010 - 7:33pmOn May 30th, 2010, Greater Rochester Robotics members Zach Bischoping, Ted Sakshaug, Dan Maffett, Cory Duell, and Matt Brunelle attended the 5k Run for Peruvian Project. Two of the members, Cory Duell and Matt Brunelle ran the race and finished with times of 24:33.18 and 24:26 respectively. Our other three members helped with registration and racer safety. Dan Maffett was the head of registration, and Ted Sakshaug and Zach Bischoping were both crossing guards. Many thanks to those who came! We were able to raise over $800 for Peruvian Project, Inc.

All of us on Team 340 really appreciate all of the time and effort you have given us to help us become a better team. Especially when it comes to CADing! We all wish you the best of luck with your pregnancy and becoming a mom. Although we will miss you greatly, we can only imagine how great of a mom you will be!

Dillan Sayers and I were waiting for Mr. Brunelle to finish helping us mill a part. When the mill was shut down, I became aware of the music loudly blasting from Dillan's ipod. The artist emanating from his earphones? Well, the answer surprised us all.
Dillan was listening to Hannah Montana. I hoped that this was a joke, but, when Dillan scrambled to change the song without me saying anything, I realized that my friend has an odd choice of music.

I was a shy freshman from another school, but before I had even spoken with anyone, I knew that this team was extraordinary. As I shadowed Mike that day, I noticed how friendly and cooperative people were.
